About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Programmer & Operator to join our machining department. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC turning and milling machines to produce high-precision components. Working with a variety of materials and tight tolerances, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality, production efficiency, and on-time delivery. This position is ideal for a technically minded professional who enjoys precision engineering, problem-solving, and working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • CNC Programming & Machine Operation: Program, set up, and operate CNC turning and milling machines, including direct programming at the machine using controls such as Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or similar systems.
  • Production & Precision Machining: Manufacture single parts and small production series while maintaining strict quality standards and tolerances of up to 0.01 mm.
  • Technical Drawing Interpretation: Read, interpret, and translate technical drawings, engineering plans, and specifications into machining programs and production processes.
  • Tooling Management: Select, manage, and maintain tooling required for machining operations, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Material Handling: Work with various materials including steel, cast iron, bronze, and stainless steel, ensuring correct handling and machining practices.
  • Quality Control & Inspection: Measure and inspect machined components using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy.
  • Machine Maintenance & Housekeeping: Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and inspections of CNC machines and work areas to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Production Reporting: Record production progress, quality results, and operational data while communicating effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Flexibility & Support: Support urgent production requirements and be willing to work overtime when necessary to meet customer deadlines.

Requirements

  • Technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner, CNC Miller, or CNC Operator Programmer.
  • Experience with CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, or similar.
  • Knowledge of CAM software such as Hypermill is considered a strong advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and convert specifications into machining programs.
  • Experience working with tight tolerances and precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Good command of English.
  • Flexible, hands-on, motivated, and eager to continuously develop technical skills.
