About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and versatile Injection Mold Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient setup, operation, optimization, and maintenance of our injection molding equipment. As the technical backbone of the molding process, you will play a key role in maintaining product quality, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous production performance. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys technical challenges, problem-solving, and working in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Machine Setup & Changeovers: Install, align, and secure injection molds using overhead cranes and lifting equipment while ensuring safe and efficient mold changes.
  • Process Optimization: Set, monitor, and fine-tune machine parameters such as temperature profiles, injection speeds, holding pressures, and clamp force to achieve optimal production results.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve molding defects including flash, short shots, sink marks, and warping to maintain quality standards and reduce scrap.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, inspections, and minor repairs on molds, machines, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor production output and make process adjustments to ensure consistent product quality and cycle time efficiency.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow company safety procedures and contribute to a safe and organized production environment.

Requirements

  • Technical degree, vocational training in plastics processing, manufacturing technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with injection molding machines, mold setup, and process adjustment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic manufacturing equipment.
  • Understanding of thermoplastic materials and their behavior during the molding process.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of machine performance and production results.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures and continuous improvement practices is an advantage.
